Columbia Concrete pours the slab for the area of the building which will house the Social Services and Administration offices.
Monday, March 30
Lake Murray Metals began erecting the steel framework for the pre-engineered metal structure March 25. Construction will move fast from this point--keep watching.
Wednesday, April 1 Erection of steel framework continues.
Tuesday, April 14 Siding goes up around perimeter of building.
Thursday, April 23 Roofing going on and insulation being installed.
Tuesday, April 7  Framing goes up and electrical and data roughin begins..
Sunday, April 26  Work continues with insulation, metal siding, and electrical. Most of the metal roof is on. The steel fabrication for the entrance is in progress.
Tuesday, May 5 Roofing is completed and installing insulation continues as does electrical work. The front entry and reception room will have a spacious feel with a 14 foot ceiling and several windows. The entrance to the Thrift Store is shown in the last photo to the right.
Tuesday, May 12 Blockwork on front and around perimeter of building is almost complete. The middle photo shows the Thrift Store entrance and the next photo inside the Thrift Store area. The last photo on the right is the rear of the building.
Tuesday, June 8  Sidewalks, curb and gutter and eventually paving for parking areas are progressing. Interior work continues at a good pace including electrical, heating and air. The area for receiving and storage is shown on fifth photo on right. The last photo on right shows the framing for walls of the Thrist Shop. The Thrift Shop will have a suspended ceiling.

Sunday, June 28  Top row of photos let to right: Waiting room, hallway in social services area, receiving and storage, food receiving room, meeting room administration, Thrift Shop. All of these rooms ready for paint soon. Bottom row of photos show various views of the parking lots, soon to be surfaced.

Saturday, July 25  Left to right, Lexington Methodist disaster response team members prime walls in Thrift Shop, suspended ceilings and lighting nearing completion.
Saturday, August 1  Trim paint and color on the walls throughout the building. Lighting and heat and AC nearing completion.
Saturday, August 8 Finish work on front entrance continues. Notice use of copper colored trim in middle photo. Windows are installed throughout and hanging of doors and painting continues inside.
